Default some ridiculous mesemer nerfs....

some mesemers skills that werent too pawerful to begin with have been nerfed, while other skills that were strong to begin wth have been made stronger....drain enchantment recharge time has been increased and energy gain decreased...inspired hex, revealed hex and energy drain have all had energy gain reduced, even though energy trap to begin with didnt give you too much energy...increased damage of empathy, which is pointless...you now need 14 illusion magic to have distortion last as long as it used to and you now lose 2 energy, which is a fixed number. for some the change to distortion is very good and others very bad. they DEFINATLEY should not have changed this...

I have to agree with you on this, drain enchant, energy drain, empathy, and revealed/inspired should not havce been nerfed...Seems kinda silly to me...Should put this in Sardelec Sanitarium, make it a petition.

Saying distortion wasn't powerful just shows the depth of ignorance. It wasn't a broken skill, but it was one of the best available multi-classable skills in the game.

For enchant removal, there are other skills. Mesmers should also be able to manage their energy... this was more of a monk nerf than anything else. That, as a matter of fact, was the point of it.

So you can't spam it forever, alas. Then again, it wasn't a skill meant to be constantly spammed. I typically ran a -3 or -2 distortion on my mesmer as far as PvP is concerned, so I don't see that as an impediment either. The difficulty is in the duration, as a kiting skill it was weakened (and you can't say it wasn't justified), but as a spike skill it's still completely functional.

None of these were ridiculous.

I dislike the Mantra of Recall nerf. E-Drain, now, seems to be the obvious choice over Mantra of Recall on boonprots. Earlier, it was used mainly because of its synergy with Contemplation, but now that Divine Boon was given a longer recharge, it's a lot more fragile. Although, Mantra of Recall still gives more energy in the long run than Energy Drain.

Drain Enchantment hit me pretty hard, but then again, for GvG I use Power Drain and Inspired Enchantment, so it doesn't really affect our playstyle.

Distortion was, IMO, long coming. It's now no rigged, but it still is a very viable skill to use (hit it when you go down to KD, for Monks).
